Palette Generator

I saw this Palette Generator quite a while ago on Polka Dot Bride, but only just got around to having a go.

It's useful. And easy. And it's quite of fun.

You just upload any photo and it gives you the colours that match or compliment the main colours in that pic.

 How handy.. especially for those of us who do not have a keen eye for colour but still want things to look good.

Here's what I got from a few of my favourite piccies from the Hubble Telescope 

 

I actually really like all three of the palettes generated from these images.

The less wedding related the better they seem to turn out.

So yes the rest of the country has put their clocks forward, but not Perth this year. boo.

Oh well! This hotel room reminds me that more night sky doesn't have to be a bad thing!

I would love to sleep here every night! What sweet dreams I'd have!

This is by far my favourite room at Hotel du Petit Moulin, the Parisian hotel decorated by Christian Larcoix. 

It's that outer space painting I love it!

I'd love to have some artwork like that hung above our bed.

It's like a grown up version of glow in the dark stars. Awesome

Old Perth Observatory

A stately wedding venue option.

The old Perth Observatory is a National Trust Building, on the top of Mt Eliza in West Perth.

It was built in 1900 and was originally the Government Astronomers residence.

I think its a lovely touch to be married somewhere used for star gazing...

Until the 1960s that is, when city pollution drove them up into the Hills. The current Observatory is located in Bickley

It fits up to 250 for a sit down meal or 600 for a cocktail function.

Astrology

 

 

Yesterday I consulted an Astrologer, to help us choose an auspicious date for our wedding.

 

We had a range of dates that could have worked for our wedding.. and with all earthly factors considered there was still no obvious choice… For practical purposes all things appeared equal.

 

Yet deep down I believe one must be luckier than the others and I couldnt bring myself to just pick at random.

 

Not wanting to lose credibility with the masses, I have kept this mostly to myself.

For those who scoff I will post an appealing picture after this you can just stare at that for a while instead of reading this

 

I went to see Jeanette Lewis-Hill , who was amazing.

 

When I made the appointment I gave her both our birth times dates and places and the list of dates we were considering. She went through each one with me, weighed up the advantages and disadvantages of each and also went through each day hour by hour and highlighted advantageous times to wed also times to avoid.

 

So to cut a long story short we now have a day and a time for our wedding. It's a strong, romantic day and our vows will be exchanged at a powerful hour. There is also a lucky moment occuring later in the night, which was too late to hold the ceremony but we will take advantage of it by planning another significant part of the wedding (first dance? speeches?) around that..

 

The Mr thinks I'm ridiculous and its all bullshit but is happy that I'm happy.. and so we are decided.
