fresh herb table

There is nothing nicer than the smell of fresh herbs so this is a great way to decorate a table...  The greens are so lush against the crisp white, and the little pots look so sweet.

This is one way to decorate your ceremony space..perhaps a backdrop or a way to lead guests to the right place... or a fun way to add some colourful cheer to your reception venue.

Indie Glam

Here is a beautiful wedding first seen at Style Me Pretty  

There are many things I really like about this wedding.. The Brides dress! White and yellow beads with that amazing detail in the neck. Its a vintage Mischa Badgley.. sigh... It looks awesome with those big earrings..

I am also loving the venue.. its a converted industrial space and I always love the edgy romance that results from mixing romance and urban functionality. It has that great indoors without being inside.. outdoors without being outside vibe that always results when walls or ceilings are missing.

The Mother of the Bride also gets an honourable mention! What a fabulous outfit. She looks truly styling.. elegant and cool, I will definitely be showing that picture to my Mum.

Birdcages?

Well I can see that these look really cool.. sort of vintage and romantic and stuff..

BUT I really don't 'get' the use of birdcages as props in weddings.

Like the symbolism is all wrong.

I see a birdcage and I think 'poor imprisoned bird- no more freedom for you'.

So even though it looks effective, it doesn't make birdcages an obvious choice for a wedding theme IMO

Maybe I'm taking the symbolism too seriously. 

And I don't want any emails from angry bird owners so I won't go on about it

The table setting is really nice, I like the dense clusters of colourful flowers that don't block your view of the person sitting across from you.

This looks so pretty. I love the white lanterns in the trees, the simple table settings and the wooden furniture.. and then when the sun goes down the glow from the lanterns illuminates the garden.

More indoor envy

This is a wedding from ages ago but it has always stuck in my mind..

Not so much because of the bride wearing a blue dress or the transgender groom, but becuase of the awesome reception venue. It's somewhere in Atlanta USA, but I really love the raw brick walls, the pillars, the exposed beams, the colourful deocrations and floorboards..

This reminds me a teeny tiny bit of my Grandparents farm in the Wheatbelt ... In reality none of their paddocks were as lush as this field..it was a lot drier and harsher than this.. but we still had some nice tea parties

daytime picnic

This looks very inviting. I'd love to have a casual daytime picnic reception with cheerful colourful tables set up just like this. Colourful water jugs, light and breezy flowers, picnic table, fresh fruit.. whats not to love?
