I always wanted to get married in an outdoorsy sort of setting.. but this doesn't mean I don't appreciate the glamour of a city wedding

I still love the idea of a rooftop wedding, and if we could have found a decent venue in the City of Perth we would have had a city wedding in a heartbeat.

It feels big. (Even 'Mr Relaxed' Himself drew in breath when I pointed out this milestone.)
People have stopped going "ooh you've got plenty of time.." and started saying "gee not long to wait now"
True that. In 6 months I'll be a married woman and he'll be a married man. Weird.
Especially the part about him being a husband. In my mind he'll always be my crazy boyfriend! (I still don't even use the word Fiance because it doesn't really gel)

This gemstone is actually another form of Chrysoberyl, which is a gem family I was talking about a few months ago, and its physical properties are very similar.
What sets it apart is the fact that it appears green in natural sunlight and red in incandescent light.. One of the most dramatic examples of colour change you will find in gems.

Just when I was lamenting the lack of wedding worthy flat sandals Marie Claire comes up with the goods.
Page 222 of the October issue and there is the glamorous flat shoe jackpot.
I'm loving the Robert Robert sandal and also white Sambag one with the flower on the toe. I also think the Andrea and Joen ones are nice for a closed toe option. And the Tony Biano with the pink bow is sweet as well.
By some cruel twist of fate Aurellio Costarella is holding a sample sale which I will be out of town for.
Grrr.. I suddenly hate my job even more than I did before.

Often after I tell people Im going to wear flat shoes for my wedding they look a bit disappointed
They want to know if The Mister is short. (he's tall) They want to know if it's a beach wedding (it's in the bush) They want to know why dont I just bring some flats to change into later on. (because then my dress will be the wrong length)
Even though I like the way I look in heels, I like the way I feel in flats even better.. just more chilled out and comfortable. And I want to feel like that for my ceremony as well.
And we are in the Perth Hills- which is really gravelly.. lateritic pisoliths scatter the ground like a carpet of marbles. I think it would be madness to wear heels.
But I dont think flats are disappointing. Just look how glamorous they can be:
Ok well I'm not sure if Nicole looks glamorous per se but I still like her shoes.
Flats obviously won't work for every style of dress but for a cool floaty sort of number I think they work well.
