How much booze will we need for our guests.
Here is a very handy drinks calculator that allows you to make adjustments for how heavily your guests drink, and wether or not you are providing spirits and how long your party goes for.
Here is what I got after a realistic breakdown of our guestlist's drinking habits
So if we just serve beer & wine then we will need 30 cartons of beer and 12 cases of wine and champers.
If we opt to serve spirits as well we will need 20 cartons of beer, 8 cases of wine and champers and 24 bottles of liquor.
I'm not sure about what is our best bet...? On one hand I'd love people to have their favourite drinks, and our venue is BYO alcohol so it won't cost that much more to serve spirits.
On the other hand, many of our guests are pretty ahh solid drinkers and I don't want it to get too messy too early. Most people would be happy enough with boutique beer and good wine etc so perhaps we should just leave good enough alone...?
